Nimi Amachree, a graduate of the University of Lagos, (BSc Hons-Business Admin) with over 40 years experience in the energy industry. He has had some experience in Academia as a lecturer in the civil service and the private sector. He worked briefly with Xerox before joining Unipetrol Nigeria plc (now Oando Nigeria Plc), spending most of his 10 years in the operations department responsible at various times for the Supply and Distribution operations. He was at a time in charge of managing the over 300 tanker trucks contracted to distribute products to the over 17 locations of the company. He was later trained in process plant management by Elf-France in preparation for the position of Planning officer at the company's Lubricant Blending plant in Kaduna. He worked at other times as the Bunkering and Export Superintendent and later as the Divisional Operations Superintendent first in Port Harcourt Division (which covered all the eastern states Akwa Ibom, Cross Rivers state and Benue) and later in Ibadan Division covering all western states, Kwara, Edo and Delta states. In these Divisions, there were LPG plants which were essentially under my purview. While in the industry he was at various times on industry committees instituted at the instance of the Federal Government of Nigeria to look at issues such as the oil transportation and distribution systems and structure in Nigeria, the butanization project in the country etc. He was also a member of the LPG Trade Group. He later became the chief operating Officer of an Oil service company called Asset Procurement Services. He is a resource person for Michael Stevens Associates a leading consultancy in Nigeria. One of his core competencies is Logistics systems architecture and structures. He is versatile and was also involved in the startup operations of a United States of America-based Information Communication Technology(ICT) company called Global Technology Communications Limited.
